Walls

We are happy to lay brick or block walls. For a big garden job we will contract a brilliant and trusted brickie, who can complete larger walls efficiently. For smaller jobs such as low retaining walls, or small numbers of steps, we will complete the job in house to our consistently high standards.

First, a shallow trench is dug where the wall will go, and reinforced concrete laid with a damp proof membrane underneath. This is allowed to set and provides the foundation for the wall. The wall is then built on top, using string lines to ensure the courses run straight.

Sometimes a garden calls out for a bit of dry stone walling. We build them ourselves at a small scale, or get a trusted specialist when the job is a big one.
